Photoshop 7 approx 2 hours. no reference.

Today I went for a walk to the shops to pick up a few things. On the way back home, as I was nearing the top of this hill, I was faced by this magical scene. The afternoon sun was really low in the sky and everything was just glowing with radiance and beautiful long dark shadows were being cast.

There was a bent signpost ... I cant remember what it said...
but the 'dont stop' was to encourage me to never stop seeing the amazing inspiration around us every day.


A few months ago I heard a guy give a talk on 'the Imagery of the Mind'. I found it extremely interesting and ever since then I've wanted to paint something from my own imagery.
So when this image was burned into my memory ( and affected by my imagination ) , I let it out in the form of a painting :)

You might not think its much, but for me I think its quite an achievement - conceptually. I hope to explore this process of 'Drawing from the imagination' more in the future.
I like paintings to tell a story~

I think it is absolutley beautiful. Very surreal and almost like a fantasy painting. I really like the colours in here. They really draw me into the image that has been captured. Very nice! :thumbsup:

You captured the radiant glowing really well. I also really like the sign, but my favorite part is the person on the right. The bright colors against the black give it a very surreal-ish look.

the colours and beautiful and stand out from each other in some parts, but blend in others. i also love the contrast between the purples and black against the green grass. it looks great. the glow is beautiful, too. the person is captured so well with the light lines it really gives this really beautiful affect. great job. :)

Oh...when I first saw the picture, I was thinking the person was wandering out of the woods into a busy street, and he couldn't cross said street because there was a DON'T STOP sign so no one paid attention to him. o_O I like your description better.

this is really beautiful! it definitely gives me an emotional reaction....i look at it and i understand what that feels like. incredible... :)
